Asking you to pick your number one Disney song is basically like asking your parents to choose a favorite child. (It’s me, obviously.) You shan’t ever dare do it! There are just way too many iconic Disney tunes that it’s nearly impossible to play faves. One second you could be feeling “A Whole New World” while imagining yourself on a magic carpet ride, but then “Colors of the Wind” comes on and takes over first place. Disney songs were such a huge part of our childhoods; each one hits you in a totally different, warm-and-fuzzy way. Is it nostalgia? Happiness? Or just a feat of musical genius? Probably all of the above.
Here, I’ve collected a list of the 50 best Disney songs to ever grace this planet. But mark my words, it was no easy feat. There are literally hundreds of Disney songs spanning a history of MORE THAN 80 YEARS. For those of you who didn’t realize, Disney has been cranking out musical movies ever since Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs came out in 1937—way longer than you or I have been alive, mind you. The studio just can’t stop making hits, I guess. So the next time you need to add a spoonful of sugar to your day, just cue up one of these best Disney songs.
(BTW, if you’re, like, really *obsessed* with Disney, might I suggest signing up for Disney+?)

What happens when you get Lin Manuel Miranda to write songs for a Disney movie? The best Disney songs you've ever heard, that's what! This song definitely has the most Hamilton-esque vibes out of everything in the movie, and TBH, I can't get enough.

Find me a Disney villain more iconic than Cruella De Vil...I'll wait! This song might have come out *gasp* more than 60 YEARS ago, but it's still one of the most recognizable bops the House of Mouse ever released.

This song is great for so many reasons (it’s super cute and catchy, to name a couple), but it also shows you the very important story of Anna and Elsa growing up, which kinda sets the tone for the whole movie.
